Too Loud

The Idea:

I can't work without music. There, I said it. Have to endure eight hours in front of computer everyday, music is my only friend. Waiiit, this is not a blog to talk about my pain. This is about an object that I see everyday and help me to come up with a story. A speaker! Enjoy!

The Story:

And today is one of those days, the day my neighbor plays music really loud. All my others neighbor had taken their chances to knock and scream at his door, file a complain, and even call the cops. Does he stop? No!

I believe at one time, he even had spent a night in the jail. I don't know if he does it everyday or not since i only in my apartment 3 days a week. But from what I know is that everytime I was in my exam week and need to study, he plays the loud song.

I thought he'd learned his lesson when the pink notice glued to his door. Yes, he'll be evicted by the end of this month. The first week after the notice, it seemed that he has changed his attitude, no loud music at all. And all of the sudden in this final exam, he turns it back on. Does he need the loud music to study? He's not even a student! Oh how much annoying this is!

I've waited for 2 hours hoping my other neighbors would ask him to stop or call the cops. But nothing. they might already bought their ear plugs or ran away. Anyway, I drag myself out of my apartment and walked to his door. I knocked on his door with all of my power. I try to come up with all kind of hurtful words that I'll say once the door is opened. He deserves it!

After a while, the door opens and he stands there with a goofy smile. I say all of the hurtful words, but it's drown in the loud music and he just stands there, still smiling. Then, he clicks a button on a remote in his left hand, and the music stops.

"Hi" he says, "You're here! Finally! My ears is hurt with all of this loud sound."

"Then why did you..."

"Well...you always look busy, rarely in your apartment, except in your exam week. So...I thought if I play music loud enough you'll come and we can....talk? Less awkward then if I stand in front of your apartment, right? Anyway, I'm Sam, and you?"
