Broken Elevator

The Idea:

So, out of the blue, I watched the "Devil" movie (the poster on the right side). Then, couple days later, I was on the same elevator with a...hm, let's say  a handsome guy. :) Anyway, somehow that movie and my experience pushed me to write a story based on both!

The Story:

It was a typical morning. Nothing stood out. Well, not until I stepped into the elevator. I hit the button and the door was refused to be closed. I should already know that it meant a bad news. But then the person who had made my heart skip a bit for the last couple months stepped in. Well, how could I see it as bad news? It had to be a good news! Or at least in my head. I was so glad that I could be in the same ride with him. It was so rare! In fact, that was the first time!

I watched him from behind in silent. He was so cool and looked great. But then he hit the emergency button and stopped the elevator. He turned.

“Hi there.” He smiled and looked me in the eyes. I couldn't answer him back. I was too busy to make sure I remembered how to breath.

“What's your name?” I just point to my name tag and smiled.

“I see...” he looked around the elevator.

“Do you know that this particular elevator has a broken camera?” I shook my head.

“And do you know why I stopped the elevator?” I shook my head again.

“Well, do you want to know?” I nodded.

“Let me tell you. It's your lucky day” Oh! He didn't know! Just talking with him was already the proof that that was my lucky day!

“Cuz you don't have to go through what your colleagues will have to.” I stared at him confused. Then he took out a machine gun from his gym bag and also several grenades.

“Any last words?” He smiled as he pointed the gun at me.

“I...I like you. You look good.” Sooo weird! Why did I say that instead of talk him out of this or ask his reasons? Love always works in a strange way.

He stared at me surprised. Then he smiled warmly.

“Thanks. See you on the other side.”

What a genuine answer. Followed by a loud sound. Severe pain. Then....a total black out.
